Developing High Potential Women into the Leaders of Tomorrow

This is a Corporate Leadership Development programme with a difference.

We know that having an arsenal of weapons isn’t helpful without the ability to wield them. We don’t just develop theoretical knowledge – we foster the practical leadership skills needed to prepare high potential Women to ‘Step Up’ into senior Leadership roles.

The Step Up programme has been designed in consultation with Experiential Learning expert Sally Duxfield.

THE PROGRAMME

Delivery of the programme takes place over the course of 9 months with discussions and workshops intertwined with experiential learning.

Residential camps:

Taking people out of their day to day environment provides the freedom and perspective required to effect real change. The tranquillity of Waihōanga provides the perfect environment to challenge and develop participants nu allowing them to fail, learn lessons and embed lasting change.

Each camp lasts for 3 days and 2 nights (arrive Monday morning and depart Wednesday afternoon) and are scheduled for October, February and May.

One-on-One Coaching:

1-2 months following each camp every participant will receive a personalised one-on-one coaching session designed to support practical application in the real world. We identify the bottlenecks, obstacles and black holes that may be impeding progress and apply effective cut-through solutions—empowering the leader to lead.

Management report:

At the completion of the programme the business received a written report outlining:

  • Strength and areas for development
  • Commitments and action plans
  • Recommended further development and support

THE FRAMEWORK

Jigsaw Strategy uses a proven framework to create leaders that deliver results by applying 15 foundation stones to the 3 Masters.

3 Masters:

Leadership begins when you fulfil the needs of those around you, but like a three legged stool it all falls over if you cannot fulfil the needs of all 3 Masters:

  • Your customers
  • Your team
  • Your business

4 Outcomes:

Focusing on the outcomes the Masters require sets the scene for leadership to be effective and make real, positive and measurable differences to an organisation.

5 Skills:

These are skills that the leaders of tomorrow will need to develop to be able to lead the way through disruption and change to realise opportunities.

6 Traits:

Best described as how others perceive and would describe you— when the right traits are at the core of a leaders behaviour, their ability to persuade, influence and lead effectively is magnified.
